    In this webinar hosted by the Aging and Disability Business Institute, speakers will share the findings of a new report, Lifting the Veil: How Networks Form, Operate, Struggle and Succeed. This webinar will describe the experiences of Community Care Hubs and CBO network members on data management, payment and member relation and the diverse ways that networks of community-based organizations (CBOs) are operated and managed and identifies best practices for networks to consider. The report is based on interviews with 23 representatives of eight CBO networks—both Community Care Hubs/Network Lead Entities and CBO network members.

Data, Billing and Coding: What CBOs Need to Know Part One: New CMS Rules on Health-Related Social Needs Screening November 13, 2023 3:00-4:00 PM ET The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) new health related social needs (HRSN) screening—at the hospital inpatient level and with physicians—as well as social determinants of health (SDOH) data and technology standards are providing Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs), and community-based organizations (CBOs) with opportunities to expand partnerships with health clinicians to better serve clients and caregivers. The first webinar in this series will focus on new CMS reporting measures related to screening for health-related social needs that will impact (and likely increase) referrals for assessments and services from hospitals and health systems to social care organizations. Speakers will discuss what the rules mean for AAAs, CBOs and networks, how they create new opportunities for contracting with health care providers and payers, and what CBOs need to know to work with hospitals and health systems.
